EV Updates & Opportunities Across the Tetons
Town of Jackson RFP: New EV Charging Stations
The Town of Jackson has opened an RFP to expand local charging infrastructure. The scope includes design plans, NEPA paperwork, procurement, and installation of 30 new charging ports, plus management and maintenance of 12 existing and 20 new ports. Proposals are welcome from an individual, firm, or a team (single-scope or full-scope responses are acceptable).
Still Ways to Capture EV Savings
Although the federal EV rebate sunset on September 30, there are still paths to savings:
Automaker lease programs: GM & Ford are offering Q4 lease options designed to offset the expired credit.
Retail incentives: Look for Costco EV offers and other seasonal promotions.
Model-specific deals: October features competitive pricing across multiple brands, with Stellantis (Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat) confirming continued offers on select EV/PHEV models.
Used EVs: Great value remains in the pre-owned market—check Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, EV-specific sites like ReCharged, traditional platforms (Cars.com, Edmunds), and experienced regional dealers (e.g., Taylor Chevrolet in Rexburg; Fremont Motors in Lander; Murdock Hyundai in Logan; Lithia Ford in Idaho Falls). Keep an eye out for manufacturer rebates, too.
