2025 Award Recipients
At our Fall Stakeholder Meeting in Driggs, Idaho we celebrated Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities 2025 Award Winners, but failed to fully celebrate their efforts and accomplishments through our communication channels, so we are finally doing that now!
The success of clean transportation in the Greater Yellowstone region depends on dedicated partners who are willing to lead, innovate, and take action. These award recipients exemplify the collaboration and commitment that make progress possible!
Alternative Fuels Sunshine Award - Teton County Library
Last year when YTCC was working to re-launch our EV Experience program with the F-150 Lightning, we needed a home for the truck when it was not being borrowed. The Teton County Library staff enthusiastically and easily agreed to partner and provide a parking space for the truck. We are so grateful to partners like the Teton County Library who are a joy to work with and make partnering a seamless experience. We are so grateful to the library staff team we worked directly with and those who moved things along behind the scenes.
Alternative Fuels Accelerator Award – Erik Kimball, Teton County Sustainability Manager
YTCC has partnered with Erik Kimball on numerous projects over the years, and he has consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to turn ideas into action.
Erik has championed renewable diesel use within Teton County's fleet, supported the acquisition of electric vehicles for county departments, and secured Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Volkswagen Settlement funding to replace older diesel vehicles with cleaner alternatives. He has also helped expand local charging infrastructure through YTCC's Level 2 Charging Station Rebate Program.
As a key partner on the Town of Jackson's $5.5 million Department of Transportation Community Fueling and Infrastructure Grant, Erik is helping bring additional charging infrastructure to county facilities. Beyond his professional contributions, he has been a passionate advocate for transportation electrification, co-chairing the Teton County EV Owners Group since its inception and regularly supporting EV showcases and community outreach events.
Erik's leadership continues to accelerate the adoption of alternative fuels throughout our region.
Alternative Fuel Trailblazer Award – Dave Hudasko, RAD Recycling
Dave Hudasko, owner and operator of RAD Recycling, has been a valued YTCC stakeholder for many years. About a decade ago, YTCC conducted a fuel analysis for his fleet, but at that time renewable diesel was not yet a practical option.
Last year, Dave contacted YTCC to explore whether renewable diesel could work for his operations. After discussing the opportunity, he wasted no time taking action. Less than two weeks later, Dave informed us that a shipment of renewable diesel was already on its way.
Since making the switch, Dave has become one of the region's strongest advocates for renewable diesel, sharing his firsthand experiences and encouraging others to consider the fuel's benefits. His willingness to be an early adopter and share his success story makes him a true trailblazer.
Alternative Fuel Excellence Award – Devin Filicicchia
As an Associate Transportation Planner for the City of Missoula and the Missoula Metropolitan Planning Organization, Devin Filicicchia has demonstrated outstanding leadership in transportation planning and public engagement.
Devin led the development of Missoula's Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan and partnered with YTCC through the National League of Cities' City-to-City (C2C) program. His thoughtful and comprehensive public engagement strategy helped create a strong foundation for community support and meaningful participation throughout the planning process.
We frequently point to Devin's work as a model for other communities pursuing transportation electrification planning. With a background in connecting people to place and a deep commitment to sustainability, Devin continues to help communities transition toward cleaner and more efficient transportation systems.
YTCC is fortunate to have Devin as part of our stakeholder network.
Alternative Fuel Champion Award – Jackson Hole Airport
The Jackson Hole Airport is a model for how organizations can integrate alternative fuels and sustainability into nearly every aspect of their operations. As the nation's only commercial airport located within a national park, the airport embraces a unique responsibility to protect the surrounding ecosystem while serving more than a million travelers each year.
For decades, the airport has demonstrated leadership in reducing transportation emissions. From early adoption of electric ground support equipment to the continued electrification of its fleet, the airport has consistently invested in cleaner technologies. Today, its growing electric fleet includes electric tugs, ground power units, carts, and electric pickup trucks, with additional electric vehicles already planned for deployment.
The airport has also expanded charging infrastructure for both employees and travelers. Through YTCC's Level 2 Charging Station Rebate Program and its participation in the Town of Jackson's $5.5 million Department of Transportation Community Fueling and Infrastructure Grant, the airport continues to improve access to EV charging throughout the community.
Beyond electrification, the airport has emerged as a regional leader in renewable diesel adoption. After successfully piloting renewable diesel in 2025, airport staff reported positive results and are continuing to explore opportunities to further reduce emissions from equipment that is difficult to electrify today. They are also evaluating the future role of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as part of their broader sustainability efforts.
What truly sets Jackson Hole Airport apart is the commitment of its leadership and staff to continually seek new opportunities to reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and lead by example. Their comprehensive approach to clean transportation makes them a deserving recipient of YTCC's Alternative Fuel Champion Award.
